Dolphin
Watch and Nature Tours
Information
for Teachers and School Groups
|
Dolphin
Watch Nature Tours specializes in educational
experiences on the water. In an effort to help
teachers and schools create an exciting learning
environment, we have created a number of resources
to prepare you for your next adventure.
Use our Educational
Resources to prepare yourself and those going
with you for the trip. Learn about what you will
see to have a better understanding of our qualified
staff's descriptions and narrations as you touch
and see new exciting creatures. Included in the
Education Resources
are lessons about Dolphins,
Coastal Birds, Plankton
and other animals we catch In
the Net.
|
 |
|
The Coastal Birds
lesson describes characteristics of the birds
you may see on your Educational Experience. Of
particular interest is the plight of the Brown
Pelican and how DDT poisoning nearly caused
their extinction.
Portuguese Man-O-War
|
 |
 |
There is also a lesson about Biomagnification
and how it effected a whole ecosystem in Borneo
leading to operation Cat Drop. Feel free to use
the printable handout
in your classroom. Also, learn about the Whooping
Cranes and the incredible efforts to restore the
population of this highly endangered bird.
